The entirety of the heavy music world will be saddened today to hear of the death of 'The Father of Loud' Jim Marshall. The man who butchered a Fender Bassman and turned it into an obnoxiously loud piece of kit has undoubtedly had an enormous impact on the guitar world (and he himself was a drummer!) and the music world in general. Even after 50 years the Marshall logo is still the icon of rock. You'll be missed by many Jim Marshall.
