Here's one to be excited about:Swedish progressive metal legends Opeth are currently working on the follow up to Watershed! Produced once again by Porcupine Tree's Stephen Wilson and engineered by Jens Borgren , with the title of the record rumoured to be 'Insomnicide', frontman Mikael Akerfeldt had this to say :
" At this point . . I'm bored to tears with conventional metal arrangements.I think the future album will be more or less devoid of any fluid writing.I want it to be fucked up!"
Given that their last record , 2008' 'Watershed' , was their most diverse and daring to date, one can expect strange ,truly marvellous things from this next effort ,which is slated for an Autumn 2011 release.
