New Track from the mighty Orange Goblin!

London's darkest burning star in the world of heavy stoner is back for the first time in 4 years with a whopper of a new track! Orange Goblin are due to release a fresh record, billed for Valentine's Day 2012, called "A Eurology for the Damned", and here's the first taste of this bad motor finger, and having been a solid Goblin fan for a few years now, I can confidently say, 'Red Tide Rising' is stand-out fuckin' stuff! I was turned onto the band's 2007 record "Healing Through Fire", a loose concept based record about the great fire of London in 1666, and it's been a staple of my listening ever since. As such, I've been raring for a new record to sneak out and hearing this track has got me excited! C'mon Valentine's Day!

New Orange Goblin Album on the Way!!

Born Again Nihilist's winged news monkeys of doom brought us in something extra special today, as we have just been informed that UK stoner legends Orange Goblin are putting the finishing touches to vocal tracks on their newest album (ETA March 2012). This is great news for fans of the fuzzed up quartet, as this will be the band's first proper full length effort since 2007's wonderful 'Healing Through Fire' , which is still the underlying cause , we reckon, of BAN's chronic whiplash and latent alcoholism stemming from that era.Expect riffs, riffs and more riffs, along with man mountain Ben Ward 's whiskey and fag soaked roar scaring small children and your parents alike .Did we mention riffs?I think we said that.

You Should Be Listening To... Orange Goblin!

London stoner rock ambassadors Orange Goblin got together back in 1995. I came to know them after getting myself a copy of their 2007 album 'Healing Through Fire', a loose concept album about the Great Fire of London. And what a whopper album it turned out to be! Pure riffy stoner weight with earthy British rock sensibilities about it. Here's a taste that conveys the gloomy groove that defines the record, and displays singer Ben Ward's ability to conjure up striking images and guitarist Joe Hoare's flare for writing unnerving passages, fueled by Gibson SG's and Mashalls of course.
